Egg Island Wildlife Management Area – Fortesque (Downe Township), Cumberland County, NJ Distance – 1  mile total (but could have gone further) Type – Out-and-back Difficulty:  1 of 10 Total score: 6 of 10

Website – None Open – Sunrise to Sunset.

Terrain – Salt marsh and beach Surface – Mostly sandy beach

Trailheads – 39°13’25.30″N,  75° 9’59.11″W.  Note that this trailhead IS the road.

Whitman’s Walk, Laurel Springs Borough Park –  Laurel Springs, Camden County, NJ Distance – 0.8 miles total (includes some out-and-back spots) Type – web of trails Difficulty:  1 of 10 – some small blow downs

Terrain – creekside forest and swamp Surface – Mostly boards, with a dirt section along the creek bank also available.

Waterworks Woods – Moorestown, Burlington County, NJ Distance – 1.6 miles total (which seemed to cover all the trails except for a little connector) Type – A few interconnecting loops, with lollipops at the end. Difficulty: 3  of 10

Website – S.T.E.M (Save the Environment of Moorestown) Open – Sunrise to Sunset.

Terrain – Lakeside woods and swamp Surface – mostly dirt
