My book is here!!!

Almost 11 years ago, I set out to write a book on hiking trails in South Jersey. Three days later, I gave up. Because writing a book is hard. So I started a blog.

Almost two years ago, I was approached by Priscilla Estes to co-author a second edition of her book for the Appalachian Mountain Club, The AMC’s Best Day Hikes in New Jersey.

And now it’s out!

Josephine’s Wilderness Adventure: A Trip to Shenandoah National Park by Christine Miller

Because I have ADD, I like to do an occasional book review to go along with all the hiking, backpacking, canoeing, camping, history, and national park write ups (along with other assorted nonsense) that I do for this esteemed website.  Today’s book is Christine Miller’s Josephine’s Wilderness Adventure: A Trip to Shenandoah National Park, which came out last month.  I’m not particularly good at writing reviews, so in case it wasn’t clear in the review below – I really enjoyed this book!

Book Review – Hal Taylor’s Artifacts: An Illustrated Treasury of Delaware Valley History

Remember that time we went to New Castle (not in South Jersey) with Hal Taylor?  He wrote that book that we loved about the early settlement of the Delaware Valley, a book way more entertaining and exciting than I thought a book about the early settlement of the Delaware Valley could ever be?  There was tons of history, PANTSLOADS of history (sorry, been reading Dragons Love Tacos too many times).
