Description –

A few weeks ago, Family Adventures New Jersey posted that they had stumbled on a trail in Riverton.  Hey, I don’t know that one!  Less than two weeks later, I ended up a half hour early to meet up with a friend, because apparently I can’t tell time.  Just three minutes away, that trail that I hadn’t done!

It’s not much of a trail, less than 0.2 of a mile one way, but there are some bumps to climb up and down and some views of Pompeston Creek.  Beware the thorns the last thirty feet of trail.  You know when it ends because of a wall of bamboo.

Dead ends in bamboo.

Overall, a great little adventure of no more than 15 minutes.  The hike can be expanded a bit by doing a lap around Memorial Park, which is where this trail starts.  Thanks Mike for finding this one!

Nearby:
Palmyra Nature Cove, Taylor Farm, and Amico Island are both very close to this one!
