Turn off of NJ-50 onto the dirt campground road. Note that you should use the Google Maps link for where the turn is off of Route 50. Google will try to take you through the main park entrance, which has no way to get your vehicle to the campsite.
Dirt road, but accessible by most any vehicle under normal conditions. Make sure to check in with the office the morning that you are camping, we’ve gotten there a few times to find the gate locked.

This is a single group site on the dirt Artesian Well Road in Estell Manor County Park. Its available from April to October each year.
Water: No water available, need to bring with you.
Bathrooms – Port-o-potty.
Food protection – no bear boxes (low bear risk, but always a possibility). Store food in car, especially if you don’t want to make friends with skunks or raccoon.
Pavilion – one large pavilion with 3-4 picnic tables inside.
Picnic tables – Four tables in the site between the pavilion and the rest of the site.
Trash cans – Available on site
Fire rings – 1 large fire ring
Tent pads – None
Facilities (each site):
Group campsites – One site, up to 20 people.
Camping “in season”. For 2022 that is April 1 to October 31. Always check their website for dates for the current year.
As previously stated, make sure to check in with office the morning you are camping, to make sure they leave the gate unlocked for you.
Mosquitos can be rough in the Summer.
Nearby trails and things to see:
Canoeing the Great Egg Harbor River – borders the campsite, which has a put-in/take-out for canoes and kayaks right at the campground.
Estell Manor County Park – Estell Manor, NJ – very close to this Atlantic County Park. Features many, many miles of trails, the remains of World War I munitions factory, the remains of an old glassworks, playgrounds, a nature center, and more! The Swamp Trail starts a short distance down the road from the camp. The main park also includes a nature center, bike rentals, a playground, the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, and more.
Ocean City, NJ – we stayed here with the Scouts when we help with the rest stops at the Multiple Sclerosis City-to-Shore Bike Ride. About a 30 minute drive.
