Description –

Found out about the little trails here at the beginning of the Summer, finally made it back here in late October with the family to check them out.

To be honest, there isn’t much here – a roughly 3/4 of a mile, mostly well marked path through a patch of woods next to a golf course (the trail markers go a bit cold on the golf course side).  The lake is supposed to be good for fishing, and it the headquarters of a local chapter of the Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs Program.

Still, it was beautiful Fall day to wander through a patch of woods and find some stray golf balls. Family had a great time.

We’re off!

Started on the red trail.

How did I get so many kids?

Kids missed this turn at first, which is how the little guys get in the lead.

Lost the trail around here for a minute.

Almost back to the lake!

Found a balloon! I lost track this year, maybe #25?

Kids love a lake!

Nearby:
Winslow WMA is nearby with lots of roads to hike in (make sure it’s not hunting season).

The Good

Fun little paths.

The Could Be Better

Probably not great during tick season.

Bottom Line

We enjoyed our hike here, but it's not worth traveling any great distance to come here.
