is there any lakes that are open to do some swimming?
As a child , i was taken there many of times to lake worth
Hi Ronald! There are still some swimming lakes in the area – Atsion Lake, Wenonah Lake, and Parvin and Bellplain State Forests.
We went to Lake Worth all the time. We were 2 families combined, from South Philly. We have so many pictures of the slide, us in inner tubes, the picnic area, etc. Lake Worth was good, clean fun, a memorable time.
I first went to Lake Worth in 1964 when I was 5 years old on a church picnic when we first moved to NJ. I remember at the end on the night they would put the dry ice into the lake. Probably not a good idea. Went there for several year until started to go to Hurff Lake instead. The last time I was at Lake Worth was in the 80’s but I just hung in the parking lot.
