Lines on the Pines – Celebrating 13 years & the Jersey Devil!

Next Sunday, March 11th, is the 13th Annual Lines on the Pines Event!

This is seriously our favorite pine barrens event of the year, as it gives us the opportunity to go into bankruptcy after buying many, many, many, many South Jersey history books (so worth it).

But seriously, we’re talking over 100 tables featuring local authors, craft venders, photographers, historical societies, and local wildlife refuges. We’re talking live music, a filming of the movie “John Hart: Portrait of a Patriot” at 1pm, and guided hikes in the woods on campus. We’re talking an ever expanding group of activities for kids that include crafts, games, and two live animal tables. We’re talking local celebrities like Squam the Owl (everyone’s favorite owl) and, of course, THE JERSEY DEVIL!

This is my absolute favorite pine barrens event of the year. Oh, and it’s all FREE to get into! Most of the kids things are FREE! Watching the film at 1 is FREE! A guided hike is FREE! But bring money to buy things! Because there are awesome things there that you will want!

As an added bonus, for our second year (and first official year), South Jersey Trails will be there all day talking hiking, backpacking, canoeing, and camping at our table/ mock campsite where kids can put on a pack like a real backpacker, try out a backpacking tent, pick up some trail necessities, and check out some great games to play on the trail! It’s going to be a blast, so stop by and say hi!
