So our favorite everything-about-the-pine-barrens event is coming up on Sunday, March 12, 2017 – Lines on the Pines!  This FREE event, now in its 12th year, features books (oh, the book selection), music, crafts, decoys, historical societies, and the like, all having to do with everything pine barrens.  Plus this year has a TON of activities for the kids!  Show up early with those kids, I hear basket weaving is going to be REALLY popular!  Also crafts, the animals of the Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, the Swan Bay Folk Arts Center (if you remember, that’s where we went to the sheep sheering last Spring), the K9 Rescue, and much, much more!  Check out the whole list of folks here.

But this year is also extra special because SOUTH JERSEY TRAILS has been asked to participate!  Kayak Karl was kind enough to invite The Pres and I to help man his “Pine Barrens Adventures ~ Family Walks/Hikes/Paddling” table, and we couldn’t be more excited.  We’ve never had a table at any sort of event, but I can’t imagine there’s a better one to have one at!  Oh, and it’s our fourth birthday to boot!

So come out to this event and come swing by our table to talk hiking, backpacking, canoeing, camping, and whatever else our ADD has taken us to over the last four years, and then go spend all your money on pine barrens books.

Renault Winery, 72 North Bremen Ave., Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215

And a HUGE thank you to the wonderful Linda Stanton for organizing this great event year-after-year, and for putting us in touch with Karl!

Because the children’s book about the Jersey Devil is still a little too scary for them (don’t worry, I bought it anyway).

Two great purchases I made last year.  Gabe will be selling his cd again this year, which you totally should get a copy of.
